There has been a lot said about Simms rankings but he doesn’t leave Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray hanging at bottom

There may currently be a lot of arguing around the country about New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady being number nine on NBC Sports analyst Chris Simms quarterback’s quarterback ranking list.  There should be no argument where Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray stands.

The analyst ranked the top 40 NFL quarterbacks.  Rookie Murray is ranked at 24.  He has not taken a single snap.

That has to be considered a decent ranking for someone who hasn’t taken a single snap in the NFL yet.  Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was ranked number one while Los Angeles Chargers backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor is 40th.

Murray finished ahead of quarterbacks such as Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks Jameis Winston, and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning. Certainly none of those guys have had much success as of late but they have had some level of success.

Without having taken a single snap yet, there can be no fault given to Simms thought on Murray.  At least he was ranked ahead of former Cardinals and current Miami Dolphins quarterback Josh Rosen.  Rosen came in at number 32.

There is still a lot to be learned about Murray as an NFL quarterback, mainly due to size.  However Cardinals fans are excited to see what he has to offer under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury‘s Air Raid offense.

Come back at the end of the season and he should be considered higher.  The man some compare him to, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, was ranked third.

dark. Next. Cardinals announce training camp

It’ll probably take a few seasons for Murray to get himself that high up, if he does at all.  For now, he’s the only 2019 rookie on the list.  Get ready for some fun.
