The Arizona Cardinals probably improved the most top to bottom in the receiver room for 2019

So many issues for the 2018 Arizona Cardinals.  One of the areas needing the most improvement in 2019 was the receiving core.

It was clear that the Cardinals needed help.  Dropped ball, wrong routes, overall subpar talent in the room less Larry Fitzgerald.  The Cardinals went out and added a number of fresh faces to the roster.

The Starters

Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk, Andy Isabella

There is no discussion needed on Fitz.  He comes into his 16th season still waiting to get back to the playoffs.

He took his usual few weeks once the season ended to decide if he would return for another season.  After all, he’d be in yet another new offensive system under head coach Killf Kingsbury.

Once he decided to return, then the Cardinals knew which direction to go.  There was likely a promise from the front office to help him out.

Kirk returns for his second season.  His rookie season was cut short by injury in week 13 against the Green Bay Packers on December 2nd.  He caught 43 passes last year and was a deep threat.

His longest reception last year was for 75-yards, which resulted in a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers.  He’s fast but now he may not even be the fastest starter on the roster.

The Cardinals drafted Isabella out of Boston College.  Isabella is considered the fastest player on the team.  He recently beat out quarterback Kyler Murray in a race in practice.

Isabella is expected to be the number three receiver.  However he will have some competition for that spot in camp.
