The Arizona Cardinals top 100 players in franchise history, celebrating 100 years of football in 2019 from Chicago to St. Louis to Arizona

Not only is the NFL celebrating 100 years so are the Arizona Cardinals.  Starting in Chicago then to St. Louis, and then finally landing in the desert in Arizona in 1988.

They’ve now been in the desert 30 of those 100 years.  Here we count down from numbers 90-81.

#90 Cedric Mack

The defensive back spent his first eight seasons in the NFL with the Cardinals organization.  He was in St. Louis from 1983-1987, then in Arizona for three seasons from 1988-1990.T

All 20 of his career interceptions took place in Arizona.  His most productive seasons with the team was in desert.  He had nine interceptions between ’88-’90, with four of them coming in ’88.

He started all but two games over those three seasons in Arizona.  In addition to the 20 interceptions, he also recovered seven fumbles.  His lone defensive touchdown came in that ’88 season on a fumble recovery return for 45-yards.

Mack struggled to find footing with another team post-Cardinals.  He only played in seven games with the San Diego Chargers in 1991 and then one with the Kansas City Chiefs and 14 with the New Orleans Saints in 1992.  After one game with the Saints in 1993, he was done.
