Top 100 players in Arizona Cardinals franchise history: 90-81
By Scott Allen
#89 Rashad Johnson
His career with the Cardinals started off slowly. Drafted in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Alabama, Johnson didn’t become a full-time starter until 2014.
He made the most of the two seasons he did start in ’14 and 2015 however. Nine of his career 15 interceptions were over those two seasons, each resulting in a playoff appearance. He had four interceptions in ’14 and five in ’15.
He was very active in 2014, amassing a total of 101 sacks. He saw a dropoff in that category in 2015 but he also played in two fewer games.
One game did him in, the 2015 NFC Championship Game. The Cardinals felt they needed to move on because of his size. However the Tennessee Titans grabbed him.
He started seven games for the Titans in 2016. He was nowhere near the player though he was for the Cardinals.
