By Scott Allen
#71 Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Affectionately known as DRC, Rodgers-Cromartie was drafted by the Cardinals in 2008 and had three very good seasons in Arizona. He was a Pro Bowler in 2009.
Drafted in the first round of that 2008 NFL Draft out of Tennessee State, he made an immediate impact. He had four interceptions for 157-return yards his rookie season.
That season, as mentioned previously, was also the Cardinals Super Bowl season. As good as he was in ’08, ’09 was even better.
He had six interceptions in the Cardinals second-consecutive playoff season, their first back to back playoff seasons since moving to Arizona. He returned one of those interceptions for a touchdown.
In 2010, he returned two interceptions for touchdowns. That lead the NFL in interception returns for touchdowns that year.
He also had three postseason interceptions for the Cardinals. He had two of them in the Super Bowl run in ’08.
During his time in a Cardinals uniform he also was named to the 2008 NFL All-Rookie Team and was week five NFL Defensive Player of the Week in 2009.
