Top 100 players in Arizona Cardinals franchise history: 80-71
By Scott Allen
#76 Ronald McKinnon
McKinnon was a bit of a surprise performer with the Cardinals in Arizona. He made the 1996 team as an undrafted free agent out of the University of North Alabama and it turned out to be the only season he was not a starter.
For a few seasons he was one of the most consistent defenders on the squad. His name was called a lot on radio broadcasts.
He finished his career with 10 interceptions in 10 seasons. He played his last season in 2005 with the New Orleans Saints.
Of those 10 interceptions, the linebacker had five of them during their playoff run in 1998. He scored two defensive touchdowns in 2001, one via interception and one via a fumble return.
He also finished with 12 sacks. Not known as a pass rusher, he still found himself in the mix often, finishing with 157 tackles in 2000 and 145 tackles in 2001. He also contributed 141 tackles in 1999.
