The Arizona Cardinals have made it through one week of camp and there have been some pleasant surprises

Hard to believe in some ways but we are already one week into Arizona Cardinals 2019 Training Camp.  The level of excitement expected sure has come true, even with as much of as unknown product they are.

For the most part, the practices have gone about as well as to be expected.  There have disappointments, such as defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche coming in out of shape and subsequently released.

However there have been some nice surprises.  It’s early but some have gotten off to a very good start.

KeeSean Johnson

Johnson may be the most surprising of the rookies on the roster.  Certainly many were high on him coming in but after one week there are people talking about him possibly being a starter as a number two receiver.

Everyday there have been new comments on Twitter from media and fans in attendance at practice in Glendale about how Johnson has been nothing short of amazing.  Certainly there is a lot of camp to go, but a great start for the rookie.

We’ll see if Johnson actually ends up with the number two spot or on.  He’s got some very good competition around him, but right now he certainly seems to be on target for top three or four.
