There is still a lot of training camp and preseason to go for the Arizona Cardinals, however the first depth chart has been released

The Arizona Cardinals have their first 2019 depth chart out.  It’s a nice just to see where everyone is at right now kind of thing, but certainly this will not be the same come September.

The Cardinals have several positions where fans are very interested to know where players currently stand.  Probably the most interesting, at least on offense, is at receiver.

Larry Fitzgerald is at receiver number one with Christian Kirk at receiver two, and Kevin White at receiver three.  Rookie Andy Isabella is behind Fitz at the receiver one position, rookie KeeSean Johnson behind Kirk, and Trent Sherfield behind White.

Rookie Hakeem Butler sits behind Johnson outside the top 6.  Receivers Damiere Byrd and Pharoh Cooper sit on the third line as well.

At center, currently second-year player Mason Cole is ahead of A.Q. Shipley, however the depth chart does put an “or” between their names.  Right now they are interchangeable.

At quarterback of course there is Kyler Murray then Brett Hundley.  Third on the depth chart right now is Charles Kanoff with Drew Anderson listed fourth.

At running back behind David Johnson and Chase Edmonds on the third line are both T.J. Logan and rookie Dante Strickland.  Local favorite D.J. Foster sits on the fourth line for now.

Even though he is currently on PUP, Charles Clay is listed first at tight end.  Behind him are Maxx Williams on the second line and Ricky Seals-Jones and rookie Caleb Wilson on the third line.

One the starting offensive line is D.J. Humphries at left tackle, Justin Pugh at left guard, Cole at center, J.R. Sweezy at  right guard, and Marcus Gilbert at right tackle. Second year right tackle Korey Cunningham sits on the second line behind Gilbert at the moment.

On defense, Patrick Peterson is on the starting line alongside Robert Alford.  However rookie Byron Murphy sits right behind Peterson, so he would be poised currently to start in Peterson’s place during his suspension.

Darius Philon, Corey Peters, and Rodney Gunter are upfront on the defensive line.  Rookie Zach Allen is on the second line behind Gunter for now. And for those that are interested in the punting competition, Andy Lee is out in front of Ryan Winslow.
