Top 100 players in Arizona Cardinals franchise history: No’s 50 to 41
By Scott Allen
#48 Calais Campbell
Campbell was a fan favorite during his time with the Cardinals organization. He was drafted by the team in 2008 in the second round out of the University of Miami.
He spent his first nine seasons in the desert with the Cardinals. With his long arms he was a menace on the defensive line batting balls down and making many quarterbacks scramble.
He had a career-high 10 passes defensed in 2011. He made the Pro Bowl in his last two seasons with the team in 2015 and 2016.
His sack totals are what keeps him lower on this list. He never had more than nine sacks in any season with the Cardinals. If they counted almost sacks, Campbell likely leads the NFL every season.
Though he seems to have found a groove with his new team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, getting 25 sacks over the last two seasons, he will always be revered as a fun and exciting Cardinal.
