The Arizona Cardinals open their preseason on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Chargers

It’s the dawn of a new season.  After over seven months, the Arizona Cardinals take the field for their preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.

There are some familiar but also a lot of new faces.  This is our first chance to see the new Cardinals players in game action.

Some guys will play longer than others Thursday night.  It seems like it will be play by the feel of the game sort of thing this preseason with coach Kliff Kingsbury.

KeeSean Johnson

The rookie receiver has received a lot of praise over the first week and a half of training camp so far.  He may have been drafted behind Andy Isabella and Hakeem Butler but he seems poised at the moment to seize the chance to leap frog them on the depth chart.

Johnson figures to play a bit on Thursday night.  He likely will not see much from his starting quarterback Kyler Murray but fans in Arizona and around the country could be talking more about him come Friday morning.
