The Arizona Cardinals will open their preseason against the Los Angeles Chargers this evening at 7 pm at State Farm Stadium

We are just about three hours away from kickoff to the 2019 preseason for your Arizona Cardinals.  For the second straight season they will open the preseason at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Cardinals have many changes as we’ve documented a number of times.  They finally will put it out on the playing field and get a glimpse of what it could look like come September.

It’s warm outside but the parking lots are open.  They opened at 3:00 pm.  Cardinals tailgaters will be out in full force.

Nothing has changed from what we’ve been told over the last several days.  Rookie quarterback Kyler Murray will start but will be limited in his playing time.  Whether it is one series or two may depend on how long the series last.

Expect backup Brett Hundley to play out at least the first quarter after Murray leaves the game.  Also don’t be surprised if you see the same thing next week.  Head coach Kliff Kingsbury indicated it will all depend, at least this week, on how Murray is feeling.

Some notes on if you will be listening on radio.  It is on Arizona Sports 98.7, however on the call will be Paul Calvisi and Bertrand Berry with Darren Urban on the sidelines.  Dave Pasch and Ron Wolfley will be on the call on television on NBC 12 News.

Other than that all has been quiet on the Cardinals front today.  On the former Cardinals front there has been noise.  Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche, who was released last week by the team, was signed to a one-year contract by the Miami Dolphins on Thursday morning.

Also finding a new home on Thursday was former Cardinals running back Kerwynn Williams.  He signed with the New Orleans Saints.  For both players, we wish them all the best.
