Not everyone was a no-show on Thursday night in the Arizona Cardinals loss to the Oakland Raiders

Overall the Arizona Cardinals showed there is a lot of work to do before they are even close to ready for the start of the regular season on September 8th against the Detroit Lions.  The starters in particular didn’t look too interested on Thursday.

However the second and third teams helped the Cardinals climb out of a 26-0 hole to just fall short 33-26 to the Raiders.  These are the performances we should be talking about after Thursday night.

Andy Isabella

Welcome to the NFL kid.  After sitting out week one of the preseason against the Los Angeles Chargers, Isabella returned to action against the Raiders on Thursday night.

Isabella, who could be a starter before too long, had a nice debut.  Some in the national media still found a way to criticize a young man in his first NFL game scoring on a 59-yard touchdown pass.

He was still criticized for his routes and say he only scored because of his speed.  Ok, whatever helps them sleep at night.  What we saw was what was advertised.  A kid that cares and one that can combine the use his his legs and arms.
