The Arizona Cardinals looked overall better on Saturday but there was still a good mix of good, bad, and ugly vs the Minnesota Vikings

This was a much better overall effort by the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings.  The players all looked invested in their stake in making this team.

There are still a number of things to work on, however definitely the Cardinals can come home this week to prepare for the last preseason game with a better taste in their mouths.  We’ll see a lot of backups on Thursday against the Denver Broncos.

Good

Offense – the Cardinals offense struggled on the first drive but after that really got things going.  Quarterback Kyler Murray looked comfortable and ended up 14-21-137.

David Johnson looked like himself.  He ran the ball hard, found open holes and had a couple of nice cutbacks.  He ended his afternoon carrying the ball nine times for 34-yards.  He also had a very nice screen pass reception.

Receivers – KeeSean Johnson and Damiere Byrd both showed they belong on the roster.  In Johnson’s case we know he’ll be there.  Byrd had a nice reception and punt return.  We’ll have to wait and see on Byrd but he is now the favorite to beat out Pharoh Cooper.

Defensive line – Zach Allen looked very good.  This was by far his best game.  He had a half-sack.  His name was called several times on the broadcast.
