The Arizona Cardinals take on the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday at 10:00 am

We are in pregame for the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Minnesota Vikings in week three preseason action.  It is the first road test for the Cardinals this preseason.

We will get to see rookie quarterback Kyler Murray play the most we will see all preseason.  He will likely play most of the first half.  Don’t bet on seeing him in the second half.

New receiver Michael Crabtree will not play.  He did not make the trip to Minnesota on Friday.  Expect to see him when the season starts in two weeks at home against the Detroit Lions.

The starting offensive line will all be together for the first time this preseason.  That includes guard Justin Pugh, who will also be playing for the first time this preseason.

Will head coach Kliff Kingsbury show anything new on Saturday?  Maybe anything resembling what we will see in the regular season?  Don’t count on it.

We need to see more from the young receivers KeeSean Johnson and Andy Isabella.  The guys we should really be watching are Damiere Byrd and Pharoh Cooper.  They are likely both on the bubble come roster decision time next week.

If you want your fill of starters on defense, get a look at them today.  Although the Cardinals may take the cornerback competition into the final preseason game five days from now in Denver.

It is expected the Cardinals won’t play cornerback Patrick Peterson much given they need to see more from Tramaine Brock, Chris Jones, and Byron Murphy.  Those three are vying for starting spots in Peterson’s six game absence to start the regular season.

Let’s not get too high or too low no matter what happens on Saturday.  It is always fun to win, let’s just they play better than last week.  Cutting down on penalties and reducing missed tackles will go a long way on Saturday.
