The Arizona Cardinals parted with yet another offseason free agent signing on Tuesday

The defensive line is going to eventually look nothing like it did at the beginning of training camp for the Arizona Cardinals.  On Tuesday, they released another expected contributor in 2019.

Terrell McClain is the second former Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman to be released this preseason.  The other was Darius Philon.

On Wednesday, offensive lineman Korey Cunningham, a 2018 Cardinals draft pick, posted on his Instagram page that he had been traded to the New England Patriots.  Nothing official has been announced, likely pending a physical.

However Cunningham is one of those versatile guys that can move around the line.  He had an up and down rookie season and seemed to be one of the bubble guys as we near roster cut time.

The Cardinals are reportedly getting a sixth round pick from the Patriots for Cunningham.  The Cardinals added offensive lineman Jacob Ohnesorge after McClain’s release on Tuesday.

So many moving parts taking place this week and its just the beginning.  The Cardinals travel to Denver on Wednesday ahead of their Thursday night preseason finale against the Denver Broncos.

Don’t forget the Cardinals have first waiver claim until week four of the 2019 regular season.  Anyone that makes the roster initially may still end up being cut before week one, which takes place Sunday September 8th for the Cardinals against the Detroit Lions.

It’s likely going to be a wild few days here roster wise.  It is not even out of the realm of possibility the Cardinals see someone they want on Saturday and by Monday have moved in another direction already.  That is how fluid we expect the situation to be as the team tries to find the best 53-guys to put on the field.

For now, all eyes ahead to the last preseason game.  Then, the fun really starts.
