Arizona Cardinals: Meet the 2019 quarterbacks
By Scott Allen
Brett Hundley
Hundley, the local product out of Chandler High School, joins his third team in four NFL seasons. As a draft pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2016, he spent two seasons as the backup to Aaron Rodgers.
In 2018, he moved on to the Seattle Seahawks as the backup to Russell Wilson. However he never made it into a regular season game.
What he did do however is spend a season on the sidelines watching Wilson, who Cardinals starter Murray is most often compared to. Will that pay off for the Cardinals? Let’s hope so.
Hundley had a decent preseason but let’s hope we don’t have to see much of Hundley on the field in 2019. Not that we don’t want to see him but if he is on the field that could mean something has happened to Murray.
The only time Cardinals fans will want to see him if the Cardinals have a comfortable lead or are in victory formation. That said, if it does come down to Hundley having to enter a game, Cardinals fans should feel good enough to trust Hundley in Murray’s absence.
