The Rams didn’t have an easy go of it in week 1.  The Carolina Panthers gave them all they could handle and thensome but still found a way to win in the end.

The Rams lost safety Eric Weddle to a head contusion during the game which lead to bleeding and had to be carted off.  He is in concussion protocol.  It didn’t deter the Rams though as they held on 30-27 on Sunday.

Rams running back Todd Gurley returned and had a nice afternoon in the Charlotte sun.  he rushed 14 times for 97-yards.  Malcolm Brown backed him nicely with 11 carries for 53-yards and a touchdown.

The defense gave up a lot of yards to Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey as he had over 200-all-purpose yards on Sunday but they still came out with the win.  Linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. had the big day for the Rams defense with 2 sacks.

Now they host the New Orleans Saints in week 2.  It might be the best matchup on paper this week.
