Week 2 NFL Power Rankings: Arizona Cardinals not at bottom
By Scott Allen
If there is a team that feels like the Lions on Sunday, that would be the New York Jets. They had a 16-0 lead on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday before falling 17-16 in front of their home crowd.
The Bills kicked a field goal to make it 16-3 going to the fourth quarter and then put up 14 points to defeat the Jets. Part of the problem? The kicking game.
Jets kicker (and now ex-kicker after Tuesday’s waiver) Kaare Vedvik missed an extra point and field goal that would have been the difference maker for them. They’ve had well documented kicker issues since the start of training camp.
It does appear that Leveon Bell is a good fit for the team. It was exciting to see him catch a touchdown over a Bills defender on Sunday. With quarterback Sam Darnold, the offense does have the potential to put up points.
Now they will host the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football. It will be a big test for both 0-1 teams.
