The Arizona Cardinals looked a little banged up when their injury report came out after Wednesday’s practice

The first couple of weeks, the Arizona Cardinals injury report didn’t look at that bad from practice to practice.  It has grown a little bit going into week three.

Getting ready for their second home game of the season this Sunday, facing the NFC North Carolina Panthers, the Cardinals had six players that did not practice for one reason or another on Wednesday this week.

The injury report after Thursday looked a little better but still half of those who did not practice on Wednesday also did not practice on Thursday.  Still, it doesn’t seem too concerning given a couple of those who did not practice also missed last week at the Baltimore Ravens.

The only player who did not practice on Wednesday that practiced in full on Thursday was receiver Larry Fitzgerald.  Fitz got a veterans day on Wednesday and was back at it on Thursday.

Defensive end Jonathan Bullard and offensive lineman Lamont Gaillard did not practice on Thursday.  Both missed last Sunday’s game and it seems to be trending the same for this Sunday.

Linebacker Ezekiel Turner also did not practice for the second consecutive day.  He is dealing with a hand and hamstring injury.  His status for Sunday would seem tenuous at best.

Linebacker Jordan Hicks and defensive tackle Corey Peters both missed Wednesday’s practice.  However both returned in a limited fashion on Thursday.

That is great to see for both of them.  Hicks lead the team in tackles against the Ravens on Sunday with 11.  Peters had a sack, two tackles for a loss.

The Panthers meanwhile still did not have quarterback Cam Newton at practice.  He could miss Sunday’s game.  Also, defensive end Bruce Irvin missed practice on Thursday.  They had five players miss practice in all.
