Christian McCaffrey

He was held in check last week by the Bucs, carrying the ball 16 times for just 37-yards.  He was more successful in week one against the Los Angeles Rams, carrying the ball 19 times for 128-yards and 2 touchdowns.

This will be his first game against the Cardinals since entering the league in 2017.  However given his style of play, he could be very slippery for the Cardinals defense to stop.  The defensive line is going to need to win the battle upfront with the Panthers offensive line to help contain McCaffrey and keep him from a big afternoon.

McCaffrey does most of his damage on first downs on the ground, already rushing for over 1,000 career-yards.  Not only does he do damage on the ground but in the air as well.

His versatility has come into play this year already.  In the matchup against the Rams he caught 10 passes for 81-yards.

Don’t believe for one moment Allen won’t be looking for him first when under pressure.  Could end up being a lot of screen passes on Sunday.
