It seemed like mostly bad came from the Arizona Cardinals loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday but that’s not true

Despite the 38-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon, the Arizona Cardinals did do some good things that do give hope for them into next week and beyond.  Oh, there are plenty of negatives, but we can talk more about those later.

Fast start

The Cardinals had slow starts each of the first two weeks against the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens.  Much had been talked about that over the past week.

They took care of the slow start talk quickly on Sunday against the Panthers.  They scored a touchdown on their first series of the afternoon.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray hit receiver Larry Fitzgerald for a 1-yard pass for a touchdown.  Fitz wasn’t as active on Sunday as he was in the previous two weeks but the touchdown was his second of the season.  He scored one on opening day against the Lions.

They didn’t score on their second drive as they ended up punting.  However on their third drive they took 15 plays and had to settle for a field goal.  Despite the field goal, it was a positive sign for the offense.
