The Arizona Cardinals host the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday for their first NFC West matchup of the season

When the Seattle Seahawks come to State Farm Stadium, they always present challenges and it doesn’t matter who is on either side of the ball.  The Arizona Cardinals have not defeated the Seahawks in Arizona since quarterback Russell Wilson‘s rookie debut in 2012.

For those of you that hate doing math, that’s seven years.  Seven very long years.  There was the one tie, but we’re not talking about that now.

This year’s Seahawks roster doesn’t seem to be as stacked as it once was, especially during their Super Bowl seasons of 2014 and 2015.  However, they are still a very formidable group.

They are 2-1, but like the Cardinals could easily be 3-0 or 0-3.  There are three players however the Cardinals should keep their eye on the most this Sunday.

Tyler Lockett

Since the departure of receiver Doug Baldwin, Lockett is the new top target for quarterback Russell Wilson.  Lockett already has 22 receptions for 277-yards and 2 touchdowns over the first three weeks.

He is also a kickoff and punt returner but it is his receiving the Cardinals defense is going to need to be worried about.  In 8 career games against the Cardinals, Lockett has caught 24 passes for 254-yards and 1 touchdown.
