Chase Edmonds

For the second consecutive week, the backup running back has stepped up for the Cardinals.  He had the long 37-yard run for touchdown in Cincinnati last week.

On Sunday he had a heck of a first half.  That first half included a touchdown pass from Murray.  He almost had a second touchdown that was a heck of a run after catch that went for 31-yards.  He fell short of the end zone by 1-yard.

What was surprising was they went away from using Edmonds in the second half.  Edmonds ended the afternoon with just 7 touches.  David Johnson got 18 touches.

Johnson should have gotten the 18 touches but there were some times we were left wondering out loud, why did they abandon the run.  The Cardinals never trailed after they took a 10-7 lead early in the second quarter.

Hopefully next week the movement to get Edmonds the ball more continues.  Edmonds is becoming every bit the versatile player Johnson is.
