Despite some glaring issues, the Arizona Cardinals have won their last two games

The Arizona Cardinals won their second straight game on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.  That should be celebrated.  However, there are issues at hand that need to be addressed if they want to continue to accumulate wins.

Fans spent Sunday night and Monday lamenting local media for putting sour grapes on the win.  It should absolutely be celebrated, but let’s not forget there is much work to do if we want to see more of that the rest of the season.

Stop tight ends

It’s an ongoing problem, we know.  However it was back in the spotlight on Sunday against the Falcons.

It didn’t help that Falcons tight end Austin Hooper is already one of the breakout tight ends of the season so far.  Hooper had a very nice afternoon at State Farm Stadium.

Hooper had a typical tight end stat line against the Cardinals defense.  He had 8 receptions for 117-yards and a touchdown.

Backup tight end Jaeden Graham even got in on the act.  He caught a nice pass for 21-yards.  So, it’s not just the player, it’s the defensive scheme.
