The Arizona Cardinals host the now 6-5 Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at State Farm Stadium

If you’ve watched the Los Angeles Rams over the last few weeks, you know the Arizona Cardinals have to believe they have a shot.  They looked bad in both meetings with the Rams in 2018.

After the Rams lost to the Baltimore Ravens 45-6 on Monday Night Football, one has to believe even with the Cardinals abysmal defense, the offense can do enough to make it a game.  It’s not been just this week the Rams have looked bad either.

Last week they beat the Chicago Bears but didn’t look very great at doing so.  Then two weeks ago they looked lost on offense against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Quarterback Jared Goff has looked nothing like the quarterback that lead his team to the Super Bowl a season ago.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals will be coming off their week 12 bye week before the first of 3 straight home games to finish out the home portion of their 2019 schedule.  After the Rams, the Cardinals host the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns.

The Cardinals should be well rested and hopefully have forgotten the debacle of blowing a 16-point lead to the San Francisco 49ers in week 11.  They should also find themselves a healthier group as well, particularly on offense.

Running back Chase Edmonds likely returns from missing all of November with a hamstring injury.  The question will be how much does he play and will it be more than David Johnson?  Johnson has looked slow and did not play many snaps against the 49ers.

Running back Kenyan Drake will again be the starting running back.  The Cardinals also have healthy receivers Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald.  Both played well against the 49ers as well.

This will be the Rams first look at Kyler Murray.  Murray comes in to the game with 14 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

What will be interesting is how the Cardinals defense fares against a fairly lifeless Rams offense right now.  Rams running back Todd Gurley had just 22-yards on 6 carries on Monday night against the Ravens.
