Arizona Cardinals kickoff vs the Pittsburgh Steelers set for 2:25 at State Farm Stadium
From an inactive list standpoint, the Arizona Cardinals will have most of their skill players available for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This includes cornerbacks Kevin Peterson and Byron Murphy, both who had been nursing injuries this week.
The biggest name to miss Sunday’s game is rookie receiver Keesean Johnson. It would be a surprise if he’s active the rest of the season.
That said, the Cardinals inactives other than Johnson include cornerback Jalen Davis, linebacker Kylie Fitts, tight end Dan Arnold, safety Deionte Thompson, offensive linemen Lamont Gaillard and Joshua Miles.
As for the Steelers, they include running back James Conner, receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, quarterback Paxton Lynch, tackle Chuks Okorafor, tight end Zach Gentry, cornerback Artie Burns, and linebacker Tuzar Skipper.
Conner and Smith-Schuster were both ruled on on Friday in the final injury report for the week. Both should be missed in the Steelers lineup. However with Conner missing a number of games already this seson, they’ve been able to get to 7-5 without his services.
The running backs for the Steelers on Sunday will be Jaylen Samuels and Benny Snell Jr. They also have fullback Trey Edmunds.
As we know though, the Cardinals can’t cover tight ends. The Steelers top tight ends will be active and playing. Vance McDonald Nick Vannett could both have big afternoons at State Farm.
With the Cardinals, their backs are all supposedly healthy. Let’s see if they actually show up to play this week. For the second week in a row, Kenyan Drake, David Johnson, and Chase Edmonds are all healthy and expected to play.
Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is ready to play and the Steelers will contend with Devlin Hodges again at quarterback over Mason Rudolph. Hodges may find quickly he wishes he could play the Cardinals every week.
