Arizona Cardinals will have Christian Kirk vs Seahawks
By Scott Allen
The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks named their inactives for Sunday’s NFC West contest
For the Arizona Cardinals, quarterback Kyler Murray can breathe a little easier against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon. Receiver Christian Kirk will be active.
He was listed as questionable on Friday. He’s been struggling with injury off and on this year and as you will recall missed several weeks in the middle of the season after tweaking an ankle against the Seahawks in their first matchup in September.
Also active for the Cardinals is guard Justin Pugh. Pugh was also listed as questionable on Friday. This is good to see.
The Cardinals inactives though do include once again receiver KeeSean Johnson. We have probably seen the last of him this season.
Johnson played well in preseason and early on but then his production tailed off and fell out of favor. He switched spots with the other rookie receiver in Andy Isabella.
The Cardinals haven’t used Isabella much either this year but he will be active on Sunday. The development of Johnson in the offseason will be very important.
The Cardinals will also be without two offensive linemen in Lamont Gaillard and Joshua Miles. Linebackers Vontarrius Dora and Keishawn Bierria, and cornerback Andre Chachere plus safety Deionte Thompson will be inactive against Seattle.
As for the Seahawks, they will be without linebacker Jadeveon Clowney. He was doubtful coming into the contest.
Other Seahawks that will be inactive are safety Quandre Diggs, receiver John Ursua, tackle Duane Brown, guard Phil Haynes, tight end Tyrone Swoopes, and also cornerback Shaquill Griffin. Griffin and Brown are big losses for the Seahawks on Sunday.
The Cardinals may have 15 players on injured reserve but everyone that inactive on Sunday is not considered injured per the Cardinals on their website. Hopefully both Kirk and Pugh will hold up for the entire game.
