The Arizona Cardinals finish the 2019 regular season this Sunday in Los Angeles

A lot has happened over the last several months for the Arizona Cardinals.  Some expectations came in high and were not achieved.  Some came in low and were exceeded.

However given the team’s record of 5-9-1 going into the final week of the 2019 season, it is safe to say many saw their expectations met.  Certainly the Cardinals will tell you they were not.

They should be disappointed.  They lost a number of winnable games.  Games they held halftime or second-half leads in and fell apart.

That said, there are some awards we would like to give out as the Cardinals prepare to play their final game of the season on Sunday in Los Angeles against the Rams.  Some of the award will not likely surprise you.

Rookie of the Year

Kyler Murray wins this hands down.  If he doesn’t win the NFL award, then it means Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs did.

Murray has 18 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions, 4 of them in the month of December alone. He is questionable to play on Sunday.

No other rookie on this team had the impact Murray had.  Receivers Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson will have to wait until 2020 at the earliest to make their impact felt.
