Acquisition of the Year

By far this should be the move to trade for running back Kenyan Drake.  With injuries to David Johnson and Chase Edmonds, the Cardinals were desperate to find someone to carry the ball.

Drake was initially brought in to be relief mainly because they had no one else to go to against the 49ers on Halloween.  Their top 3 backs were all unavailable.

No one could have envisioned him contributing like he did right away.  He scored a touchdown on his first drive with the Cardinals.  He ran well that night, carrying the ball 15 times for 110-yards.

He tailed off a bit after that but over the last couple of weeks he has shown he may be ready to take over the starting role permanently.  He seems to fit coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offensive system very well.

He has 7 touchdowns for the Cardinals, 6 over the last 2 weeks.  He’s putting any mention of David Johnson future in Arizona further and further out of mind with each performance.
