The 2020 NFL Pro Bowl is on Sunday in Orlando with 2 Arizona Cardinals players participating

In the end, it is still just 2 Arizona Cardinals players that will be in Orlando to play in Sunday’s Pro Bowl.  Safety Budda Baker and linebacker Chandler Jones are the participants representing the franchise in the NFL’s annual event.

Baker finished in the top 5 in the NFL in tackles with 147, a number that was actually eclipsed by Cardinals linebacker Jordan Hicks.  Hicks is not on the roster in Orlando this week.

Baker will be in his second Pro Bowl since being drafted by the Cardinals.  The other time was in 2017, his rookie season.

As for Jones, he had himself quite the season.  He ended with 19 sacks, falling 0.5 sacks short of the NFL sack title.  He had 19 going into the final week against the Los Angeles Rams but Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett edged him out in week 17 with 3 sacks to overtake him for the title.

Still, this will be the third Pro Bowl for Jones.  He was also a participant in 2017 like Baker, and also in 2015, his last season with the New England Patriots.

Baker and Jones are also both starters.  Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson backs up Baker while Barrett is a backup to Jones.

While we would like to see both give a fun performance on Sunday, we know there won’t be any sacks.  Baker didn’t have an interception in the regular season.  Let’s just hope they don’t get hurt.

Next year don’t be surprised to see more Cardinals at the game.  Quarterback Kyler Murray was an alternate but was not chosen to play.

Next. Cardinals should grab edge rusher early in draft. dark

Although it certainly would be nice to see zero Cardinals at the game with the reason being they are about to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.  Yeah, don’t hold your breath but dreaming is free.
