Antoine Winfield, DB, Minnesota

Then there are the defensive backs.  There is some uncertainty how things are going to play out with Patrick Peterson moving forward.

There are some mock drafts out there that believe if they fall the Cardinals will take one of the top defensive backs in the draft.  If not, Winfield is someone they should consider.

The defensive back for Minnesota had 7 interceptions in 2019 and ran one of them back for a touchdown against Rutgers.  His interception total lead the Big Ten last season.

He recorded 11 tackles against Northwestern and Penn State and 10 against Nebraska.  He finished fourth in solo tackles last year.

Winfield is another player always around the football.  How his skills would fit in Arizona’s defensive scheme remains to be seen but they would be remiss to not do homework on Winfield either.

If there is one downside, its experience.  He declared coming out as a Sophomore after four years in Minnesota, playing just four games each in 2017 and 2018.
