10 players for Arizona Cardinals to watch at Combine
By Scott Allen
Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
Forget CeeDee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy. The Cardinals should think good receivers mid draft. With so many good receivers available, the Cardinals could still prioritize the position but lower in draft and come out smelling like roses.
Mims caught 66 passes for 1,020-yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Baylor Bears. Remember, that too took place in the same Big 12 Conference as Lamb.
He had four more receptions than Lamb, although Lamb had the advantage in yards by 307 and two more touchdowns. Still, Mims is about an inch taller and slightly heavier than Lamb at 6’3, 215 lbs.
Lamb was third in touchdowns in the Big 12 but Mims? He was right behind him at number four in touchdowns scored.
Jeudy had 77 receptions and 10 touchdowns for Alabama. There isn’t a huge dropoff to Mims and the Cardinals could get a top defensive guy and a receiver as good as Lamb or Jeudy later on in the draft.
