The Arizona Cardinals have the 8th pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft and the experts have them going in a number of directions

There is so much unknown as to what the Arizona Cardinals really want to do with the first round pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.  They still currently hold the eighth pick.

The thought among Cardinals fans is even divided.  Does the signing of DeAndre Hopkins end any chance of a receiver in the first round?  Do they go offensive line?  How about defensive line?

Maybe they even get lucky and can go cornerback.  But what you ask one person you will likely get a different answer from the next person you ask.

So who do the experts believe the Cardinals will go with?  A sampling of what’s out there.

Pete Pricso, cbssports.com – Jedrick Wills Jr., OL, Alabama

Wills is actually the guy I’d be going with at the moment.  The offensive line seems like the most likely target.

Ryan Wilson, cbssports.com – Andrew Thomas, OL, Georgia

Wilson is someone I actually considered early on.  His name hasn’t come up much around here, at least with Cardinals fans chatter on social media.

Lance Zierlein, nfl.com – Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson

Simmons seems to get a lot of chatter from Cardinals fans.  He’s a popular choice but questions will arise on availability at 8.

Chad Reuter, nfl.com – Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Many have put Ruggs above CeeDee Lamb in draft rankings.  However it still seems unlikely they will go receiver in round one and if they do, it almost would certainly be Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray’s buddy Lamb.

Bleacher Report – Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

He’s another offensive lineman fans and experts seem to agree will go fairly high.  This pick seems the most likely out of everyone mentioned here.

Next. If the Cardinals didn't play in 2020. dark

It’s all a guessing game as usual however.  We still have three weeks to continue our annual draft predictions.
