Arizona Cardinals: Grading the 2020 NFL Draft
By Scott Allen
Josh Jones, OT, Houston
How this guy slipped from a possible first rounder to the third round is still perplexing. Many had Jones going late in the first round or early second.
Yet at number 72 overall, Jones was still available. There were fans practically begging on Twitter for the Cardinals to make a call to trade up to get Jones.
As it turned out, they didn’t have to do that. They didn’t have to give away picks to get Jones.
This could be considered the steal of the draft for Keim and the Cardinals. Of course time will tell if that statement is true or not but as of right now, it certainly appears to be that way.
Jones should come in and start right away. He’s especially valuable if anything were to happen to D.J. Humphries. As we know, that’s always a possibility but those two book-ending the offensive line in front of quarterback Kyler Murray is exciting to think about.
Grade: A+
