Kenyan Drake thinks the Arizona Cardinals will be a nuisance for teams. He’s right, and the NFC West should take notice.

Yes, it’s May. Late May to be exact, and in terms of NFL Football, it’s every fan for him/herself. Of late, the landscape is about if and when we see players on the field, rookies especially, as the league ramps up for the 2020 season. For the Arizona Cardinals, it’s about anticipation, hype, hope, and the idea that this season might be the start of something special.

Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake certainly feels this could be an interesting season. Whether you do or do not like Arizona as a dark horse kind of contender, one glance at the roster tells you they could be an interrupter in the NFC West, especially with the addition of DeAndre Hopkins.

“When you trade for one of the top receivers in the league, if not the top receiver in the league, it’s going to bolster any offense.”

That goes without saying. Hopkins will most likely be a game-changer in Arizona. Adding him to an offensive arsenal that includes Larry Fitzgerald and quarterback Kyler Murray, gives the Cardinals an added element that the division hasn’t seen. Think chaos, but organized.

“With the style of play we have, it’s only going to help this team and be a nuisance for everybody in the NFC West for years to come. And it’s not only because of his ability but Kyler’s ability to play the way he plays at quarterback and will continue to get better year in and year out, game in and game out.”

The Cardinals are a team that is garnering a lot of interest this offseason. If Murray and second-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury can keep the momentum going and avoid the dreaded sophomore slump, Arizona might be the kind of disruption that shifts the power in the West.
