There is a lot of hype for the Arizona Cardinals headed into the 2020 season

They haven’t taken the field yet but the 2020 Arizona Cardinals have a lot of talk surrounding them.  A lot of excitement is expected but also a lot of unknown.

There is hype but still worry about the defense given how they performed in 2019.  The defense gave up fourth quarter leads or were within a touchdown in the fourth quarter a number of times last year.

They had chances to beat the San Francisco 49ers twice, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams in the season finale, Detroit Lions in overtime, and the Baltimore Ravens.  With the offseason pickups, now the expectations have risen to start winning some of those close second-half winnable games.

There are three teams that come to mind when trying to compare the expectations of the 2020 team.  Granted, it’s not a completely fair, or even completely accurate comparison but these three teams we saw what they did and didn’t do.
