Eno Benjamin

As a local product coming out of Arizona State, many Cardinals fans were already familiar with Benjamin’s work.  He raised some eye brows when he said he was declaring for the draft.

Despite that however, he was still projected to be a mid-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.  As we know, he slipped to the Cardinals in the seventh round.

Should Benjamin stayed another year?  Maybe.  Also running backs were not necessarily a hot commodity in this years draft either.

He may have the best shot of any seventh rounder of making the final 53, but he will still need to earn it. His popularity and efforts at ASU mean nothing now, although of course we are all rooting for him to see the field in September.

He will likely have to duke it out with another former Sun Devil in D.J. Foster to make the 2020 roster.  We’ll have to keep an eye on him in camp.  Not having any rookie camps or OTA’s to put the playbook into live action could be a detriment to his development.
