Andy Isabella

Expectations may have been too high on the rookie receiver last season.  The Cardinals drafted Murray, said they were going to have competition for Josh Rosen, then 24 hours later they are shipping Rosen off for the pick that would get them Isabella.

The speedy receiver rarely saw the light of day last season.  He had one lone touchdown that quite frankly was mostly his doing.  A great throw by quarterback Kyler Murray over the outstretched hands of San Francisco 49ers defenders but then it was all Isabella catching and then running through traffic with his terrific speed.

Unfortunately it was the only real highlight of the season for him.  He was used in reverse situations to utilize his speed from time to time.  He ended up with just nine receptions last season.

Now he comes into his second season and should be higher on the depth chart.  He could end up being as high as the team’s fourth receiver.

He’s going to have to show he can run the routes in addition to all that speed he has.  It will be a huge year of growth for him.
