Quarterback (2)

The Cardinals have three quarterbacks currently on the roster.  The will likely keep just two but chances are they will keep a third on the practice squad.

It is only prudent they keep three in case of emergency.  Now if a prominent backup were to make their way to the waive wire, then things may change when it comes to this position for the Cardinals.

Starter: Kyler Murray

Backup: Brett Hundley

Practice Squad: Chris Streveler

It’s pretty simple here.  It’s Murray’s team but as we found out at the end of last season how important having a competent backup is.

Hundley came in an spelled Murray when he pulled a hamstring against the Seattle Seahawks on the road.  Streveler is a guy that has managed to stick around and knows the playbook obviously.  Sounds like a good option for the practice squad.

Murray comes into his sophomore season with a lot of eyes on him, maybe more than last season.  The defending Offensive Rookie of the Year will have to show his continued growth.
