Reports are the Arizona Cardinals have already been busy making updates to the initial 53-man roster

Like we said Saturday what you see today may not be what you see tomorrow.  The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly signing defensive end Angelo Blackson, just cut by the Houston Texans.

He was considered a surprise cut by the Texans.  What remains to be known is who the Cardinals are going to cut to add him.  Blackson will be on the active roster.

While that is the only active roster move known so far on Sunday, the Cardinals are also reportedly bringing back at least two players they cut on Saturday.  As predicted, one of them is cornerback Jace Whittaker

The corner from the University of Arizona reportedly had a great camp.  It was not enough to make the initial 53- an roster but most believed he would be brought back.  Now it seems that has become reality.

They also are adding offensive lineman Koda Martin to their practice squad.  There has been no word on any other Cardinals cuts being picked up.

The day is young however.  Teams have started signing players off of the cuts made on Saturday,  We will likely hear more from the Cardinals later on Sunday and into Monday.

Adding Blackson to the roster would at least bring in someone with experience. Blackson had been with the Texans for the past three seasons after spending the first two seasons of his career with the Tenneessee Titans.

Balckson started all 15 games he played in last season.  He had a combined 20 tackles.  We’ll see who the team drops in favor.  They may not even drop another defensive lineman in his place, so stay tuned to that piece of news.

For now, we wait to see who else the Cardinals add to the practice squad over the next couple of days.  Exciting times and opportunities for up and coming players.
