We had a chance to ask Justin Fried, site expert for New York Jets FanSided site, The Jet Press, his thoughts about the upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals

We are upon week five of the NFL 2020 season.  The Arizona Cardinals are 2-2 and play the Jets in New York for the first time since 2012 and the teams first meeting since 2016.

We took some time to ask questions of Justin Fried, site expert for The Jet Press to get his thoughts on the Jets and the upcoming game on Sunday.  The game is set for 10 a.m. Arizona time on Sunday morning.

Raising Zona: Can Joe Flacco turn the fortunes of the New York Jets around and help get them their first win of the season this weekend?

"“The short answer is no. The Jets have a lot of issues right now, but Sam Darnold, while disappointing, isn’t at the top of that list. For that reason, expecting a 35-year-old Joe Flacco who hasn’t looked adequate in years to step in and be an improvement would be foolish. That’s doubly true given the supporting cast he will be forced to deal with. The Jets still have the worst coaching staff in the NFL, one of the worst sets of skill position players, and a defense that’s playing like a bottom-three unit. This is a bad team. Flacco doesn’t change that — and he likely makes them worse.”"

It’s a legitimate question though.  Does Flacco make the Jets worse on Sunday?  Fried believes Darnold is not a main concern right now, inserting Flacco spells doom for them.

If that is the case though, then what about Jets head coach Adam Gase going forward?  It’s a question that comes up seemingly every week.
