Upcoming foe could spell trouble for the Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals could be severely tested this coming weekend by a Miami Dolphins squad that has shown vast improvement
Back on October 25th, the Arizona Cardinals made a huge statement to the rest of the NFL. A scintillating 37-34 victory over the previously-unbeaten Seattle Seahawks showed the world that the Cardinals are for real. Next up on the schedule are the lowly Miami Dolphins, a team that Kliff Kingsbury‘s squad should handle quite easily, correct?
Not so fast, Cards fans. The 2020 Dolphins have shown vast improvement over the club that lost 11 times last year. Miami is also much better now than the group that dropped three out of their first four matchups this season.
The Dolphins, led by head coach Brian Flores, have been particularly successful against the NFC West during the current campaign. In fact, a win over Arizona this coming Sunday would give Miami a 3-1 record against a division that many feel is the best in professional football.
In week five, the Dolphins traveled cross-country to meet the San Francisco 49ers. When all was said and done, Miami had trounced the 49ers by a score of 43-17. Niners signal-caller Jimmy Garoppolo was chased from the contest after serving up two interceptions and compiling an ugly 15.7 quarterback rating.
Last Sunday, the Dolphins took down another divisional foe of the Cardinals in very impressive fashion. In his first pro start, rookie passer Tua Tagovailoa led his teammates to a 28-17 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams. Miami emerged victorious despite accumulating just 145 yards of total offense and eight measly first downs.
Miami’s only loss versus an NFC West opponent came in week four against the Seattle Seahawks. The Dolphins trailed by only two points (17-15) with 8:35 left in the fourth quarter, until Seattle put the game away with two late touchdowns. Nevertheless, a fantastic defensive effort by Miami had Russell Wilson and the Seahawks on the ropes for most of the day.
Anyone who believes that the Cards will win this week’s matchup easily may be in for a rude awakening. The Dolphins are riding a three-game winning streak, and have won four out of their last five as well. Looking past Miami would be a mistake that Arizona can ill afford to make.
