Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray’s case for MVP
From Worst to First
Although his passing numbers aren’t gaudy in their own right it’s abundantly clear that he has the greatest impact on his teams offense out of any of the other candidates. Kyler is 2nd in the league with well over 2600 total yards just behind Matt Ryan who has not yet had his bye week.
Arizona is also the #1 ranked offense in all of the NFL averaging 422 YPG led by their rushing attack which at 162.9 YPG. This may not be a surprising stat to some as he is known as a rushing QB, but this has been done mostly without the help of Kenyan Drake who’s had a disappointing season to date.
The Bills coming to Glendale next week will be a huge test for the 2nd year QB as Buffalo led by Josh Allen just put up 44 points against Seattle on Sunday. A win over Buffalo would not only cement K1 in the MVP race, but would surely put the league, especially the rest of the NFC West, on notice.
With games against the Seahawks porous defense, the hapless Eagles and Giants of the NFC East, and two games against a Rams team that hasn’t truly found their identity yet sets him up soundly to continue to add to his amazing season.
