Second act: Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks
By Scott Allen
Prediction
It might be difficult to duplicate the 37-34 effort last month coming off a short week, both teams having seen one another now, and the mounting injuries. Still, don’t expect a huge defensive battle either.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has looked “normal” the last few weeks. Still, he’s always dangerous and the Cardinals should not sleep on him.
Most expect Hawks receiver Tyler Lockett to be shut down a bit after he torched the Cardinals for 200-yards last time. Don’t count on it.
It likely comes down to who has the ball last, again. Look for another close one. The last time the Cardinals swept the Hawks in the same season was 2009.
Seahawks edge Cardinals in this one. These teams are about as close to even this years as they’ve been in the past decade. Hopefully the prediction ends up wrong but you can never count on sweeping the Seahawks.
