In the first matchup of the Chip Kelly era between these two teams, the Eagles continued to thrive off of Nick Foles’ incredible 27:2 (touchdowns: interceptions) season. Foles hit Zach Ertz and Brent Celek (yes, this Brent Celek from the ’08 NFC championship game) in what was a great day for Eagles tight ends.

For the Cardinals the main scoring was from newly acquired Carson Palmer who hit on touchdowns to Fitzgerald, Floyd, and all-time-trivia question Jim Dray in the game. Arizona would have a chance to win the game, but a pass was batted down just before the 2 minute warning in the 4th quarter, and that pretty much sealed the game.

Philly went on to win the NFC East with a 10-6 record, while Arizona finished 10-6 as well, but came up third in the division. The team who placed first? Seattle went 13-3 and rode the legion of boom to a Super Bowl XLVIII victory.
