Pounding the rock

Kyler Murray and his backfield cronies Chase Edmunds and Kenyan Drake have worked well together all season and despite a solid pass rush from the Eagles, teams love to wear them down through the run. And with the aforementioned players, the Cardinals have the talent to do so.

All season, Drake and Edmunds have made solid contributions to the running attack and they have a chance to take over the game this Sunday. Drake is closing in on 1,000 yards with 848 rushing yards on 201 carries. He also has 9 rushing touchdowns.

Edmonds is one of the best RB2s in football, with 404 yards on 83 carries for an astounding 4.9 yards per carry. Then there’s Murray, with 712 yards on 115 carries and 10 rushing touchdowns, good for 5.3 yards per carry.

In short, the Cardinals have a running game that can open things up for superstar receiver DeAndre Hopkins sooner than later along with emerging tight end Dan Arnold and the speedster, Christian Kirk. If the Cardinals can use the run to open the pass, they can negate the Eagles stellar pass rush and have a repeat performance from the previous Sunday.
