Three players the Arizona Cardinals must retain in free agency

Plenty of household names may leave the Arizona Cardinals this offseason.

And while it’s impossible for the Arizona Cardinals to hold onto everybody, there are a few players they just can’t let go of. Key contributors who made a name for themselves in 2020 who can benefit the team over the next half-decade.

Today, we’re looking at three players the Cardinals must go out of their way to hold on if they wish to continue their ascent in the NFC West. Obviously, their NFC West rivals have already made headlines, including a blockbuster deal between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions. And given their meager 2-4 record in the division in 2020, it’s also clear the Cardinals have their work cut out for them.

In total, the Cardinals have about 10 starters from the previous season looking to test the free-agent market. And that doesn’t even count role players, or others who played a key contributing role when injuries rocked the team.

In the following sections, you’ll find three players the Cardinals must look to keep at all costs. Keep the following three players, their stock continues to extend. Failing to re-sign them will force the Cardinals to fill yet another hole.
