Currently the site of the Super Bowl in 2021 is SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, home to the Arizona Cardinals NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams and the AFC West’s Los Angeles Chargers. It was reported by Pro Football Talk recently, the decision to hold the game in LA is still up in the air.

Regardless, the new league year will begin for the Cardinals and the other 31 teams in March.  Officially the league year starts in a little over two weeks on March 17th with the start of free agency.

The Cardinals can officially start negotiating with free agents on March 15th.  We’ve spent a lot of time over the last several weeks discussing the possibilities for the Cardinals.

The biggest needs are cornerback, offensive line, and receiver.  They could also be in the market for a backup quarterback, more help on the defensive line, and at tight end.

Don’t look for the Cardinals to look too hard at running back, at least in free agency. It’s no lock Kenyan Drake will return in 2021 but are there better options out there?

March is all about free agency.  Most of the action will likely take place over the first couple of days of free agency.  Once the first phase of the free agency has completed, it will be then time to turn eyes towards the draft at the end of April.

The Cardinals won’t be able to start offseason workouts until April 19th, so we are still over a month and a half away from that time.  Don’t count out any trades taking place either for the Cardinals to fill needs either in free agency or add draft picks.

The first order of business in March is the Cardinals need to decide by March 9th if they will franchise or transition tag any players.  Also, we could see the decision receiver Larry Fitzgerald makes for the 2021 season. We’ll keep an eye out.
