John Brown

Familiar name, right? And at 31, he’s still young enough to maintain his role-player status. Having come to the Cardinals in 2014, Brown worked his way into the WR2 mold during his previous stop in Arizona, solidifying himself as a solid contributor.

He also played for the Baltimore Ravens, and spent the last two seasons with the Buffalo Bills. While Brown only recorded 33 receptions in 2020, he did so over just a 9-game stretch, and amassed the best catch percentage of his career at 63.5 percent.

His 8.8 yards per target marked the third-highest of his career, and he still averages nearly 14 yards per reception. His numbers have proven that he can still play, and it appears he has become more sure-handed as he enters his 8th season.

But while Brown is number one on today’s list, the Cardinals have a few other targets who may fare better if they can get their hands on them. Our next target is a receiver whose true position in the NFL is at WR2. And the Valley of the Sun would be the perfect place for him.
