The Arizona Cardinals will look for diamonds in the rough in the NFL Draft

And while we know the Arizona Cardinals need to upgrade with young talent at more than a few positions, they only have six draft picks in 2021 as of April 4th. With four coming between picks 160 and 247. Diamonds galore, right?

So where will the Cardinals spend their late-round draft capital? We know they still need a legitimate WR2, a TE1, QB3, RB2, Kicker, and a CB1, among other positions. It also wouldn’t be a bad idea to upgrade the offensive line unit. Or given the number of injuries on the defensive line in 2020, another chess piece up front.

Some have stated the team needs an edge rusher, but with Chandler Jones, Dennis Gardeck, and Markus Golden, they already have a decent rotation. Adding J.J. Watt always helps, and if Devon Kennard can bounce back, the Cardinals have a borderline logjam. Always a good problem in today’s league.

Odds are, they will target receiver (or tight end Kyle Pitts if they’re willing to pull off a blockbuster trade) and corner in the draft. Since they signed Matt Prater, they probably won’t waste a pick on a kicker and instead scan the priority free agent wire. So let’s check out RB2, TE1, and an additional corner. Remember, the following are projected late-round picks, so you’re getting a few obscure names.
